The redesigned website now serves as a professional hub for Katharine’s career — connecting casting directors, producers and press with her work quickly and elegantly across all devices.
Katharine already had a working relationship with Squarespace and knew how to make basic edits herself, so a full platform migration wasn’t the right call. Instead, this actress website design Squarespace project focused on rebuilding within the platform she already trusted — using Squarespace’s Fluid Engine to get a level of custom, cinematic layout control that wasn’t possible with her previous template.
For actors, screenwriters and producers, a portfolio site has to do double duty: it needs to impress casting directors and press on the first visit, and it needs to be simple enough that the client can swap in new headshots, press clippings or reel footage between projects without calling a developer every time. That balance — polished on the outside, editable on the inside — shaped every design decision on this build, and it’s the same approach we bring to our graphic design and UI/UX work for other creative professionals.
