Stack Decode delivered cosmetics website design Shopify work for Edit Cosmetics, a professional-grade skincare and mineral makeup brand owned by Brad, based in Colorado, USA. Edit Cosmetics was founded by practitioners with a clinical aesthetics background — not brand marketers — and the product line reflects that: formulas grounded in real treatment-room experience across skincare, mineral makeup, and lip care. The brand sells online and through four physical “Luxe Room” retail locations in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and RiNo.
Edit Cosmetics already had a live Shopify store, so this wasn’t a ground-up build — it was a refresh. The existing theme needed updating to better reflect the brand’s clinical-but-premium positioning, sitting somewhere between a dermatology-office feel and a genuine retail skincare brand. At the same time, a growing catalog across three distinct product categories — daily skincare essentials, mineral makeup, and lip care — needed to be properly structured on the backend, with accurate variants, pricing, and imagery, rather than added piecemeal as new products launched.
Stack Decode updated and reconfigured the store’s Shopify theme to align with Edit Cosmetics’ clinical, ingredient-led brand identity, then completed a full product catalog upload across all three collections — skincare (cleansers, serums, moisturizers, exfoliators, eye treatments), mineral makeup (foundation, lip tint), and lip care (lip balms, lip gloss, overnight treatments) — with correct variants, pricing tiers, and product imagery for each listing. The result is a store where a customer browsing “Daily Skincare Essentials” or “Edit Mineral Makeup” sees a consistent, accurate catalog rather than a patchwork of manually-added products.
For an omnichannel brand like Edit Cosmetics — selling both online and across four physical retail locations — the online store needs to carry the same premium, trustworthy feel as walking into a Luxe Room location in person. A clean, well-organized Shopify catalog does that job quietly: it doesn’t need to convince a skeptical first-time visitor the way a pure e-commerce brand might, but it does need to not undercut the trust the physical stores have already built. This cosmetics website design Shopify project focused on exactly that — cleaning up the theme and catalog structure so the online experience matches the quality of the product itself.
