Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Stack Decode Web and IT Solutions™, we believe in complete transparency — including when things don’t work out. This policy covers all cancellations, refunds and modifications across every service we offer.
Please read this carefully before placing an order.
1. Yearly Website Plans (Starter & Growth)
Cancellation before website is built: If you cancel within 7 days of paying the setup fee and no design or development work has begun — you will receive a full refund of the setup fee.
Cancellation after website is live: Once your website is live and in use, the yearly subscription fee is non-refundable for the current billing period. You may cancel at any time and your plan will remain active until the end of the paid period.
What happens when you cancel:
- Your domain name will be transferred to you — free of charge
- The website design, code and structure remains the property of Stack Decode Web and IT Solutions
- If you require your complete website files and database export — a one-time export fee of $150 applies (Indian clients: INR pricing available on request — contact us directly.)
- If you require your website transferred and set up on your own hosting — a transfer and setup fee of $199 applies (Indian clients: INR pricing available on request — contact us directly.)
Renewal: Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will receive a renewal reminder 30 days before your next billing date. To cancel renewal, notify us at support@stackdecode.com at least 14 days before the renewal date.
2. Monthly Maintenance Plans (Basic / Standard / Premium)
Cancellation: Monthly maintenance plans can be cancelled at any time with 30 days written notice sent to support@stackdecode.com.
Your plan remains active and all services continue during the 30-day notice period.
Refunds: Monthly maintenance fees already paid are non-refundable. No partial month refunds are issued.
What happens after cancellation: All access credentials shared with Stack Decode will be deleted securely within 7 days of plan termination.
3. Custom Development Projects (Websites, Apps, Automation)
Cancellation within 7 days: If no significant work has begun, you are eligible for a full refund of any deposit paid within 7 days of placing the order.
Cancellation after work has begun: If work is already in progress, the following applies:
Work completed
- Less than 25%
- 25% to 50%
- More than 50%
Refund
- 75% of deposit refunded
- 50% of deposit refunded
- No refund — work completed to date will be delivered
All refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Stack Decode Web and IT Solutions based on documented project progress.
Cancellation by Stack Decode: We reserve the right to cancel any project in cases of non-cooperation, breach of contract, non-payment or violation of our terms of service. In such cases, refunds will be assessed based on work completed to date.
4. Paid Strategy Consultation ($49)
No refunds are issued for the $49 paid consultation fee once the session has been booked and confirmed. (Indian clients are charged in INR — contact us for current INR pricing.)
Rescheduling: You may reschedule your session up to 24 hours before the scheduled time at no charge. Rescheduling requests within 24 hours of the session are not accepted.
No-shows: If you do not attend your scheduled session without prior notice, the session fee is forfeited and no rescheduling will be offered.
Exception: If Stack Decode needs to cancel or reschedule your session — you will be offered a full rescheduling at your convenience or a complete refund of the $49 fee. (Indian clients receive refund in INR via Razorpay.)
5. White Label Development Projects
White label development projects are governed by the individual NDA and project agreement signed before work begins. The cancellation and refund terms outlined in that agreement take precedence over this general policy.
In the absence of a specific agreement, the Custom Development Project policy above applies.
6. Unlimited Minor Changes — Fair Use Policy
All yearly website plans include unlimited minor changes (text updates, image replacements, colour adjustments and basic formatting). This is subject to fair use:
- Individual change requests requiring more than 5 hours of work are considered major changes
- Major changes are billed separately at our standard hourly rate
- We will always notify you and obtain your approval before billing any additional charges
- Additional work will never begin without your written confirmation
7. Refund Processing
Timeline: All approved refunds are processed within 15 business days from the date of approval.
Method: Refunds are issued via the original payment method used during the transaction — Razorpay, Stripe, Wise or Payoneer.
GST: If GST was charged on the original invoice, refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable GST regulations. Tax credit notes will be issued where required under Indian GST law.
Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once your refund has been successfully processed.
8. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
Send an email to support@stackdecode.com with:
- Subject line: “Cancellation Request” or “Refund Request”
- Your full name
- Your order ID or project reference number
- The service you are cancelling
- Your reason for cancellation
- Any supporting documents
We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and respond with a decision within 5 business days.
9. Exceptions and Special Cases
- Completed services are non-refundable under any circumstances
- Domain registration fees are non-refundable once the domain has been registered
- Third-party costs (hosting, premium plugins, stock images, API subscriptions) paid on your behalf are non-refundable
- Refund decisions on disputed cases are made solely by Stack Decode Web and IT Solutions and are final
